This wedding has so many different rustic elements to it I can hardly stop myself from posting pictures. This wedding not only has a wonderful traditional style western wedding but this couple started their wedding day off with a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. Smartly, this couple rented a vacation house on Lake Winnipesaukee for their wedding. From the bride: When Kieran and I got engaged, our first thought (after the initial excitement) was where should we get hitched? Since we love traveling and our family and friends are located all over the globe, we initially researched some of our favorite destinations including Croatia, Ireland, France and Italy. However, we decided to go back to our relationship roots, New England- the area where we first met 9 years ago – for our wedding. Inspired by numerous wedding blogs, we wanted a simple outdoor wedding that focused on our family and friends having a great time. October 5, 2012 at 10:25 amHi Ly! We are also very interested in renting a house on the lake for a wedding next fall. Did you have the reception somewhere else or just at the house? How many guests did you have?

October 24, 2012 at 5:51 amHI Allison,
We actually had the reception on the grounds of the house as they had a good bit of land. It was really easy because it was a day long affair so everyone just hung out and it was nice not to have to worry about losing people between different sites. We had 80 people in total although that particular house had 100 people for a wedding the week before. Good luck with your planning! Ly
